Hairy Melon, also known as Fuzzy Melon, has a clear layer of fine hairs on its skin, hence its name. Hairy skin should be removed before cooking using a peeler or by scraping with a small knife. Unlike other types of melon, seeds of them do not need to be scooped out. Hairy Melon has a subtle flavour, similar to courgette, and works well in a stir-fry with meat or seafood.
